Freelance Web Solutions

I have worked in the Austin and surrounding areas as a freelance web designer/developer for several years. I've created a number of deployed sites: some original creations, some sites customized from templates, some sites created from PSD/AI files (I generate all necessary site images from those files and create the site), and some pure back-end development (database; server scripting).

My specialties include PHP, MySQL, JS / jQuery, HTML and CSS.

I'm currently working on a SaaS site for Risk Management, which I'm very excited about. That product will deserve it's own project highlight and was planned for Beta in 2013, but I chose to put this on hold in favor of some iOS work. I will be adding that project shortly, as the work is finished and available in the iOS App Store.

I have also created custom web tools, such as a customizable PHP calendar, CSS themeable JS date picker (before jQuery UI came around and made it look bad), a Flash audio player, and a jQuery grid plotter.

Below is a sampling of some of the aforementioned works...
Original Works
Slightly out of date due to the Risk Management project, this the front for my freelance work.
A sight dedicated to a single property leased in the East Austin area. Yes, it's so sweet, it deserves it's own site.
A Flash site created for a local Austin musician.
Custom built homes and renovations from a private builder in the Austin and surrounding areas.
This template had a good menu bar, text rotator (injected Testimonials), and layout for a slideshow. I created the top banner--which became the inspiration for the business card--the slogans on and to the right of the slideshow, and a all site content. Also, you'll see a jQuery music player customized to fit the theme of this site for song samples.
The custom skinned jQuery music player used on the site above.
A simple site advertising a locations based reminders app for the iPhone. The background came with the template, along with the buttons up top. The flip cards in the page were available through the template, but they were the appropriate size, so I created my own to get how I preferred. I designed the logo up top and the splash screen in the iPhone pictured.
This site was simply an informational site to create an advertising presence on the web. The template provided the JS accordion for the content, along with the green background. The content, along with the design of the banner and "Original Parts" stamp (sans the truck--stock item) were mine.
Sites from PSD/AI Design
This site design was captured in a PSD file. I sliced the images from the verious pages and created the site in HTML/CSS.
Originally, this site created using iWeb. It was horribly slow loading, so I was contracted to recreate the site from scratch (not generated) and create a common styling using CSS. This proved to be a much larger task than anticipated, because none of the artwork was available via a PDS or AI--I had to grab the images from the server, all with names like "dropped_image_1.png," "dropped_image_2.png," etc. I also had to consolidate a slew of classes like "style_1," "style_2," up through "style_57," along with even more embedded styles. Needless to say, the final result was significantly (10x) faster.
