CIBO Extends Membership to Consultants

Experienced sales executive David Bohn has had a 30-year career with Redding, CT-based Preferred Utilities Manufacturing Corporation and serves as the company’s president. Under the leadership of David Bohn, Preferred Utilities Manufacturing Corporation became a member of the Council of Industrial Boiler Owners, a trade association catering to companies and manufacturers in the steam and gas energy industries.

CIBO, founded in 1978, serves as an industry resource for companies and professionals in the industrial energy sector. CIBO offers its members a variety of benefits, including up to date information on regulatory requirements, political advocacy on key issues, and opportunities for professional development.

In the past, CIBO membership was only available to owners of small to large industrial steam energy companies and their suppliers. However, CIBO recently amended its bylaws to enable sole proprietors and consultants to join the association.

Consultants and self-employed people who provide services for hot water or steam generating facilities can pay $1,000 in annual dues to receive Individual Consultant Member classification. Though these members will not have voting rights in regard to council affairs, they will have access to all of the benefits afforded to CIBO members.
