Here, in Bali. When I came to cafe or restaurant I always meet the same: there is no photos of dishes or photos were too small, so I can't even understand what I ordered.
How it will be? How does it look? I could use only my imagination. And often, it did not meet my expectations at all.
Sometimes the price merged with the name of the dish, so I had to make an effort to find it.
I decided to create my vision of food menu for local cafe in a village of freelancers "rd2".
When you open the menu you need to know 2 main things:
1) How it looks?
2) How much it costs?
In case, if you on diet or you have allergy you also need to know the ingredients.
I like big and beautiful images. So we did a great photos of food.
I tried to show them as big as I can. Thats why most of the page are photos of the dishes.
For this reason I chose A3 format of page.
I also founded some pictures in free photo stocks to decorate pages and make them alive and tasty.

Here on Breakfast page I accidentally create WOW-effect by cutting plates.
The dishes lost a bit in informativeness but it looks so awesome!
I also highlighted the table with a different texture of wood so that the dishes did not merge. It should be obvious that it is 2 different dishes, but in the same time I wanted to keep it together for visual effect.
I made the prices as noticeable as possible so I did them comparable in size with the dishes. These big numbers look great!
I also made a test on group of people to understand their experience. To know, what I could do better.
I thought that people will be smart enough to understand the number near by dish. It means thousands of rupees, because all prices in Bali in thousands of rupees.
I was wrong.
Some people thought the number means ordinal number of the dish.
Some of them thought it is number of the page where dish is placed.
I did not want it, but I had to add "k RP" to all numbers on the page to clear this moment.
