FREESTYLE :: Fall 2017
Focusing on customer creativity and rider individuality, I designed a line of graphics and stickers inspired by my industrial hometown that was, on occasion, adorn with rebellious, public art. Three main graphics (freight train, freight crate, and a subway car) each in three various colors, with the option of fifteen positive affirmations as graffiti stickers--all allowing the creative voice to declare themselves and "claim their kingdom."

Challenges were apparent before this project even began. The entire process was a self-taught, DIY lesson.

Three Things They Did Not Tech Me In School:

1. Woodshop -- Although I took a Sculpture Studio in college, basic shop machines were explained but not highly encouraged of those who didn't have previous experience.

2. Flat Design -- Adobe Illustrator was a program that was absent in all of my college studio classes. So I learned from a coworker and continued to learn on my own. I was also lucky enough to have met a flat design focused graphic designer during my residency who graciously gave feedback.

3. Digital Graffiti -- This one I kind of understand it's absence in the higher education curriculum...
