Peranakan Type
Inspired by batik and geometric tiles from the Peranakan tradition. The project explores western fonts with eastern art.
The invitation was based on the concept of the type poster. Guests were invited to the annual typography show held at UTA. In the Peranakan culture, tiles were decorated with geometric or batik patterns. The invitation combines a mixture of 3D effects just like the tiles in Peranakan homes.
