Brief: To provide a simplified booking experience for customers on hosts’ website
The 3 main key point will be focusing on:
1. Streamline the Booking Process
2. Collate Views (List, Listing, Calendar & Grid)
3. Enhance the Open Request
User Research
From our user interviews, users find the flow to navigate to book a class is quite straightforward but there are some details that causes them to have some confusion.
We conducted a good 10 user interviews with 6 host interview to know understand more on what are the parts we should look at.
Some of the pain points our users faced:
The loading is very long and slow for the widget.
They have to go through the whole list of other classes conduct by the host although they know what class they have in mind.
No idea what open request is.
Solution: To come out with layouts with search bar to ease the searching time for users. 2 call-to-action button. A share to social media instead of just sharing through email and mobile number to increase more awareness to new users.
From our usability testing, users find the open request is still not that straightforward to understand but after explaining they like the idea of what open request is. “Open request” is a new page that Verlocal would like to push the idea of the flexibility booking time slot customers can choose. We did at least 3 version of layout for selection of available time slots to come out with an adaption from google calendar. As users understand how a google calendar works so the users are easier to navigate around the page.

What's Next?
1.Improve the user flow for the Marketplace and Verlocal Pro Host page.
2. More usability testing on the open request to make it another level up.
