A successful entrepreneur, Gary Reis serves as president of Access Ambulance Services based in Pawtucket, Rhode Island. Gary Reis leads a well-equipped and trained organization that provides ALS, BSL, and Critical Care ambulance transportation services to all hospitals in Rhode Island and Massachusetts. Access Ambulance provides support transportation services to a number of hospitals, including those belonging to the Lifespan health system.

The first and largest health system in Rhode Island, Lifespan was founded in 1994 by The Miriam Hospital and Rhode Island Hospital. A nonprofit organization, Lifespan’s board of directors is comprised of volunteer community leaders. 

The Miriam Hospital, a not-for-profit hospital founded by the state’s Jewish community in 1926, is nationally known for its research into preventive and behavioral medicine and HIV/AIDS. The largest hospital in the state, Rhode Island Hospital was founded in 1863 and is a nonprofit acute care hospital that houses the state's only Level II trauma center as well as its only verified burn center. The Lifespan network includes Hasbro Children’s Hospital, Bradley Hospital, and Newport Hospital, as well as other institutes and centers.
