An accomplished senior administrator with a wealth of experience in the healthcare sector, Charles Clement has served as president and CEO of SEARHC since 2012. SEARHC provides comprehensive healthcare services throughout Southeast Alaska from its headquarters in Juneau. Under Charles Clement’s direction, SEARHC also spearheads a number of proactive community initiatives.
One of these initiatives is the SEARHC one-on-one lifestyle coaching program, which operates at Mt. Edgecumbe Hospital in the city of Sitka. Community members can take advantage of this lifestyle coaching opportunity at absolutely no cost to them, regardless of SEARHC membership status.
With a general goal of helping participants live healthier and more productive lives, SEARHC lifestyle coaching provides critical assistance in areas that include diet and nutrition, exercise and active living, and the cessation of smoking. The option of one-on-one interaction was added to SEARHC’s group lifestyle coaching program in 2017. These individual coaching sessions can be used either to supplement SEARHC group classes or replace them.
