Веst walls 2017 Part 1. Kickit art studio

Street Art
It’s time to draw a line under 2017. Kickit Art Studio’s crew - Dilk, Feros, Arm, and Keno - wants to thank everyone who has contributed to their projects. Check out the below highlights of their best work created during the past year

Finding Light.
Stryi, Ukraine, 2017

The artists Dilk, Feros and Keno have been invited by the initiative group of Stryi secondary school #7 to take part in a local contest aimed at environmental change. The contest awarded the best environmental projects at both the school and city levels, within the framework of the educational project “Open Ukraine”. We were pleasantly impressed how the students have taken the matter into their own hands and carried it through.

The Guardian Wood Exhibition.
Dilk & Feros. YMCA Lviv Gallery. Ukraine, 2017

This exhibition was an attempt to create an alternative environment that passes through the prism of the artists’ creativity. It is a layered structure of the working experience in both natural and urban environments. The way these two worlds intersect and overlay is reflected in the works, making up a unique ecosystem for creation in its key images. The exhibition consists of a series of canvases, objects, and murals.

Your City is Your Home.
Keno, Dilk & Feros. Lviv, Ukraine, 2017

The project was initiated by a group of local businessmen who wanted to improve the condition of an abandoned street through fundraising and help from neighbourhood residents. The plan also included a mural, and they held a competition for its design and execution. The winner of the mural design competition was Kickit Art Studio in collaboration with Keno, Dilk, and Feros. The artists set a goal: to maximally adapt the mural into the urban landscape. Having taken the environment into consideration, the crew prepared a sketch aiming to create an atmosphere of coziness — outdoors. All the residents owe this common urban space, that’s why its state and development ride upon them. This is a good example of people taking the matters into their own hands.

Lviv, Ukraine, 2017
