During my 3rd year of studies me and my fellow students have been asked to design a bathroom accessory series based on ancient Baltic motives.
In the end I presented “Torsing Snake” – series of bathroom accessory inspired by grass-snake’s antique accessory.
Grass-snake is ancient Baltic symbol of house safety and family welfare. In particular my inspiration was this accessory (photo below) that symbolizes grass-snake was hooked on clothing and other fabrics. The inspiration beneath bathroom accessories came from these pieces almond shaped cross-section and twisting form.
Project was presented to Custom Hardware company “Baltica” (click the link to see more of its products). “Baltica” is preparing a virtual catalogue to store potential new hardware design to be produced. One of them can be this design, so if you are interest, contact Baltica for more information.
