Benjamin Perlin's profile

Joining the Middle Tennessee Robotics Club

For several years, Benjamin (“Ben”) Perlin has divided his time between nurturing a passion for photography and another for science and robotics. The Tennessee native helped his local Society of Automotive Engineers build a racecar, and for the past eight years, Benjamin Perlin has belonged to the Middle Tennessee Robotics Club.

A technology and robotics group in Nashville, the Middle Tennessee Robotics Club meets every month at the Adventure Science Center. The club does not require that members have any previous experience with robotics or any other maker talent. Members just need an interest in robotics, mechanics, programming, or electronics.

The Middle Tennessee Robotics Club welcomes enthusiasts as young as 7 to join and encourages the participation of all of its members. Participation can come in the form of either attending meetings or interacting with other members through social media. The group’s meetings are typically held between 10 a.m. and noon and consist of announcements, show and tell, and networking. Members can also participate in workshops that the organization hosts during the afternoon.

There are no membership fees or dues required by the Middle Tennessee Robotics Club. Further, members do not have to pay to enter the Adventure Science Center when they are attending a group meeting or workshop.
