Moving Posters Project

Moving Posters I created during our "Moving Posters" class in Bezalel Academy of Art and Design in Jerusalem, Israel, guided by Erez Gavish. I created both moving posters using hand made typography and drawings, using Photoshop, Illustrator and After Effects.

On the right, the yellow poster, is a poster redesigned from a static poster we had to find in the street. I redesigned an advertisement for a hearing aid company called "Gal Hearing Aids", that was very badly designed and showed a colorful scale of sounds you may hear outside and their decibel levels and exposure time until damage. I decided to create their verbal pronunciation (in Hebrew, for example "Woosh" representing the sound of a jet plane passing) combined with an abstract animation of their movemennts.

On the left, the red poster, is a poster designed for an Omar Souleyman concert, hosting Acid Arab as his guest. Our brief dictated that we can't use any known image or representation of the artist or his visual style. I decided to animate hand gestures that move with the beat of Souleyman's up-tempo middle eastern music, with bright colors and modern typography, as his music is, strong, vibrant, and combines both old and new.
