EMMERYS | Visual identity

The result of our 2nd year exam where we were tasked to give the Danish bakery chain Emmerys a new visual identity.

My focus was the high quality products and ingredients. I originally went with a very art noveau looking approach. However, I did want it to look modern (to make them stand out among competitors) and borrowed elements from art deco by bringing geometric fonts and patterns into it.

This was by far one of my funnier projects, buying their products and ingredients, then arrange them in various patterns (photos of the proces can be seen in the bottom)

CREDITS & PROCES
While the majority of the photos are mine, three photos from other creators were used in this project: figs from photographer Artizone and blogger Not Without Salt and the café latte pattern from photographer Morten Båtbukt.
The font used is Pangram Sans made by the Pangram Pangram Foundry.
Photos used that I did not take myself
Colour boards for the different products. The colour palette changes depending on the product's ingredients. It's chosen by picking the colour from the most special/visually distinct ingredient and then using one of the split-complementary colours. That will be the background colour for this specific product.
Translated from Danish (top left first): Banana cake, fruit buns, granola, ryebread with fruit, coffee and apple/strawberry juice (the granola one didn't get made due to time restrictions)
Variations of the logo: black/white, on a white background, monogram and clearspace
The first grid for the logo, sketches of unused packaging design and selected pics from the
photo session (including my "assistant" pet chipmunk cleaning up afterwards!)
