Is There Too Many?

Is there really such a thing as too many?

I came home tired one day after a long day just working on all sorts of things. One of the things that happens to me when I'm tired is that I start thinking of things that repeat. Things that have a rhythm or texture with repetitive elements.

With about only 4 hours before I fall asleep I begin some experiments using a node-based  filter making utility called FilterForge to whip out some highly detailed and intricate patterns of all sorts. The patterns are created by basically modulating one component by another and utilizing what's called the "bomber plus" in FilterForge I'm able to effectively randomize a simple node structure to pump out a very vibrant result.

One of the key factors in getting this to work is to make sure that the output has uniform, artist-centric but random colors. I came up with a system about a year ago that simply outputs random colors from a selected palette which is what's being used here for each block you see.

Like with previous experiments the results cannot be replicated, where each result is unique and impossible for it to be reproduced.
