Last June 2017 was the opening of my 1st two-woman exhibit, OVERGROWTHwhich showcased works from
Alexandria Mesias and myself.

Overgrowth can mean either an overgrowth of abundance,
like when nature reclaims an abandoned place, or an overgrowth of decay,
like when fungi takes over a rotting piece of wood.

This series of works was my output for OVERGROWTH at The House of Frida Gallery in Bacolod City.
I used watercolor, gouache, pen, and acrylic to capture the essence of florals
and cacti through textures and strokes.
Alexandria and I have contrasting styles. While mine is bright and colorful to capture the victory of nature of reclaiming what is Her's, she interpreted OVERGROWTH as decay by using mixed media as well as
sculptures of fungi made of cold porcelain on her self portraits.

Below are photos are some of her works.
