UWC is a global not-for-profit education movement that makes education a force to unite people, nations and cultures for peace and a sustainable future. It comprises of a network of 17 international schools and colleges on four continents, short courses and a system of volunteer-run national committees in 157 countries.
Marcus Ezra Design was commissioned to create a modern, feature-rich website with beautiful & contemporary design, a robust platform and responsive architecture. The website is one of the greater undertakings till date both in scope and content featured - The site makes use of the latest web design technologies to ensure personalized and engaging user experience, responsive functionality and overall site interactivity.
The site boasts features and functionality ranging from interactive map-driven directories of UWC’S 17 schools globally, to over 100+ Alumni, Student and Committee profiles, a History timeline, UWC experiences and News sections among more.
The aim of the website is primarily to promote the UWC in Kenya; to enhance an awareness of UWC in Kenya, to fund-raise for scholarships for that would present life defining opportunities for students from some of the most disadvantaged backgrounds in Kenya to be able to attend UWC schools. The ultimate aim is to create awareness among potential supporters with a view to fund raise to build a UWC School in Kenya.
