As part of collaborative book based on the theme of illumination, this signature stems from the question:

 “What is not illumination?”

The illustrations depict various views of the brain; subtly referencing Jung’s ideas regarding the subconsciousness and consciousness of the mind. As the reader is guided through the signature
by a faint glowing light, they are transitioned through a series of abstract imagery that expose the
figures of darkness that lie within.
There is no coming to consciousness without pain, people will do anything no matter how absurd, in order to avoid facing their own soul. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious. — C.G.Jung
