D&S Wedding Collateral

For a beautiful Wedding on April 1st 2017, the hashtag; #twofoolsfellinlove is quite fitting. Danielle & Scott are the resemblance of the perfect couple and with their wedding they went with a classic aesthetic, although modern in approach. The theme consisted of wood, nature & elegance and of course it was fitting to produce their wedding collateral to carry this theme throughout.

They decided on wood printed wedding invites, having duplexed wood sheets (yes it is real wood) printed with a white foil to ensure the detail and unity was preserved. On the back, I produced a simplistic monogram of their initials, which was printed in their theme colour; navy blue — which was then applied throughout the wedding collateral.

All the collateral made for the ceremony and reception was printed on Neenah Royal Sundance 80lb. felt cover, recycled paper having a natural and sturdy feel. As well it held the ink quite well, showing fine details in a digital print.

During the ceremony, programs were handed out to all the guests. They gave a breakdown of the wedding party and the ceremony — incase the guests wanted to know more information. These programs were hand-made including the die-cuts and ribbon placement.
During the reception, menus were placed on the tables two at a time and written to make your mouth water. Hand duplexed; the cards had the logo placed on the back for consistency.
Small details including the table seating charts as well as coasters were placed throughout the venue to not only be consistent but to add a certain sophistication to the event. Having a uniform flow of typographic elements, print and style.
A bottle of wine was placed in the guests rooms, staying the night. The bottle had a thank you note attached with twine from the parent’s of the bride and groom, and of course the labels were produced with the same paper used throughout all the collateral.
Overall the printed material had a classy, yet rustic feel which was one of the objectives set by the bride-to-be. Using classic fonts and colours while adding organic textures and paper gave the overall feel come together, while keeping it consistent throughout.
