Double-wall cups and saucers - No.3

No.3

Last summer I won a grant from the National Cultural Fund of Hungary, which made it possible for me to design and create a second edition (well, third in general) to my double-wall cups.
They are very similar in design, but I've made some improvements.
(If you would like to compare and/or read about the benefits of the double-wall, please see my previous project.)
This time, there are only 2 sizes, for the espresso and cappuccino drinks. The small one is 100ml, the other is 150ml. The details are better functioning. It dries very nicely after washing (without any watermarks), and they are very comfortable to hold and to drink from.
This time I wanted to design saucers as well. As the cups don't have handles, I had the freedom to make the saucers higher and play with the form a little. They didn't turn out the most practical, regarding the firing and the storing (as they take much more room than the regular ones), so I will have an other go with the design when I have the chance.
They are nice for presentation though, they are like little pedestals, trying to highlight the form of the cups. Also, they are actually very comfortable to hold and carry, it feels much safer this way.
I had the chance to paint a few of them (by hand, with black china paint). The pattern is a design of mine, that I have used before on some of my works.
More - and better - pictures are coming soon.

Thanks for watching!
