EDUCATION UPDATE
Newsletter Design, Art Direction, Graphic Design and Illustration
One of my favorite projects that I regularly work on is ASCD's Education Update newsletter. In 2015, the company decided to give the newsletter a major redesign. I decided that the redesign should focus on strong conceptual imagery that would compliment the engaging, original articles, nested within a simple, easy to read and beautiful design. Each issue incorporates a minimal color palette that changes from issue to issue.
Since the redesign, Education Update has won multiple publication awards, including three Association Media & Publishing EXCEL Awards in 2016, and an Award for Publication Excellence (APEX):
