China International Outdoor Sports Union (CIOSU) is a new founded for-profit organization gathering outdoor sports hobbyists. CIOSU wants to integrate the loose-organized clubs on the market and become the most influential leader the field.
Evolution of Simplicity

Design needs complexity at the early phase for seeking meanings. However, design also needs simplicity at the late phase for extracting. After trying several creative directions, I picked “Compass” as the element for CIOSU’s logo. Compass is the most frequently-used equipment for outdoor sports. It has a good symbolic meaning and with leadership characters.
Create Touching Points
  
"Branding is air, it is everywhere". Touching points are the joints where the audience meets any aspect of your brand in any occasion. A business card, shopping bag, letter paper, envelope or social media photo could contribute to your branding architecture. Branding needs repetition and time. If you are building a long-term business rather than sell stuff only this weekend, you should sharpen touching points.
