These images were created by collaborating with a Nanotechnology Ph.D. student. He wanted to turn his scientific images of nano-crystals into aesthetically pleasing artwork. The images were originally black and white due to the fact that they were taken with an ‘Scanning Electron Microscope’. My role was to edit them; choosing colours, contrasts and different effects that would make them stand out most. This was a great experience as it allowed me to combine my ideas with someone from a completely different subject field to my own and to create something that neither one of us would have managed independently.
