Bon Appetype Foundry | 2013

Introducing | Bon Appetype Foundry.
a typographical cruise, featuring a delectable collection of typefaces to hopefully satisfy your every day cravings for a better read:
types of dishes served | Bodoni | Archer | Kepler | Eames Century | Miller | fresh catch of the day.
bodoni | designed by Giambattista Bodoni
archer | designed by H&FJ
kepler | designed by Robert Slimbach
eames century | designed by the Eames couple!
miller | designed by Matthew Carter
lobster | designed by Pablo Impallari
*this was a scholastic project done with intention of sharing just a glimpse into a world of type beyond measure.
The aim of this project was to invent a small, fictional type foundry that would house a collection of typeface. In the format of a type catalogue-in-motion, we were to use kinetic typography as a vehicle to communicate the merits of the foundry's types.

In proper fashion, Bon Appetype Foundry serves as a typographic restaurant cruise that features a collection of six typefaces, with each typographic dish providing guests with a flavour of the typeface in motion. Since the goal of this project was to design a Type Catalogue in Motion and give it a brand, I chose to present my foundry as a floating cuisine & make it delicious. The branding of said restaurant seeks to conjure a sense of comfort, balance, and energy.

Credits to the music can be found in video description of my vimeo upload.

thanks & have a swift sail.
