The goal of the project was to have a sort of news-letter, like people send out around the new year holidays.  I designed it to be printed on standard letter paper in color (8.5x11) so I could bind the pages simply by folding them in half, and driving staples along the fold.  I then trimmed the pages back to the printed area of the cover (which failed me on a few pages, as the variance in printed area changed much more than I'd anticipated from the first page to the last).  I was really proud that the colors after printing were very close in most cases to what I'd intended (I'd designed it for print, and modified the brightness and contrast for on-screen viewing), since digital pages I'd printed in the past to have a physical copy of the work printed dark with very muddy colors.  All in all, I'm pretty happy with my amateur efforts.
