A finance professional with more than 25 years of experience, Anil Jethmal has worked for numerous firms, including Smith Barney and Diversified Biotech Holding Corp. Anil Jethmal completed a bachelor of arts in economics from Maine’s Bowdoin College, which recently held a Community Action Day.
On Thursday, January 19, 2017, some 85 employees of Bowdoin College participated in Community Action Day, volunteering for a number of local organizations. In one project, volunteers assisted with hardware and software updates for the Brunswick-Topsham Land Trust, which preserves 2,300 acres of land in Topsham, Brunswick, and Bowdoin, Maine.
Volunteers also worked at local libraries, cleaning windows at the Curtis Memorial Library and organizing shelves at Topsham Library. Others helped clean the pantry and sort food at the Mid Coast Hunger Prevention Program.
Community Action Day also gave Bowdoin staffers the opportunity to contribute to Habit for Humanity Re-Store by cleaning the warehouse’s auxiliary area.
The annual Community Action Day is organized by the McKeen Center for the Common Good at Bowdoin College.
