Lyft 95 · The Ridesharing of Yesterday

Congratulations on purchasing Lyft, the digital taxi service of the 21st century! With Lyft, you can order a ride anywhere in your area, using only your home computer! With Lyft, travel is faster and easier than ever before, and the entire world just a click away!
To get started, install Lyft on your computer using the CD-ROM, using our installation guide. Then, use your cursor to double click on the Lyft icon on your desktop, or type cd G:\Lyft run lyft.exe in the command line.
Begin your journey by selecting the type of ride you would like order. To do this, click on the button with the car icon, and choose from the list of options. Lyft is just like a personal taxi and seats up to four passengers. Lyft Line is like a carpool, and seats up to two. It uses our state-of the-art Passenger Pro™ ridematching system to save you time and money!
Next, enter your pickup address into the pickup field. This is where the Lyft driver will get you.
If you do not know your pickup address or would like to use the lat/long associated with your unique IP Address, click on the compass button in the top corner of the map (allow 1-2 minutes for the server to respond).
Now we know where to get you! Next, type your destination address into the destination field. If you can't find your destination address listed, you can troubleshoot using our Master Address Directory (Help > Directory).
If multiple addresses match your search criteria, select the address you'd like, and then hit OK.
You're now ready to request a Lyft! Confirm that your Lyft order is accurate, then press the Request Lyft button.
Once your Lyft request has been submitted, Lyft representatives will begin calling nearby Lyft drivers' car phones to find the perfect ride for you. On average, we match you with a driver in under 12 minutes.
Your Lyft driver has been assigned to you! If you need to call your driver for any reason, you can do this using Lyft's Smart Call Your Provider (SCYP) system. It automatically ends your dialup session, and predials your driver on any LAN-compatible digital home phone.
It's time to sit back and enjoy the ride! When your Lyft arrives, connect to Lyft's onboard Network Neighborhood for exciting games like Solitaire and MineSweep, and listen to your favorite Compact Discs on Windows' cutting-edge Mobile Media Player. Sweet!
Once you've arrived, Lyft's PayBuddy™ integration means payment is just a click away! If you'd like to add a tip, just like you would in a restaurant, use the tip buttons on the payment screen.
Now it's time to review your Lyft driver's performance, using our signature 5-star scale! If you like, you can also include a custom message for your driver to see.
Congratulations! You've taken your first Lyft. Be sure to follow our bulletin boards and discussion forums (on the World Wide Web at http://www.lyft.com) for all of the latest up-to-date Lyft news information.

If you need a copy of your receipt, use the Lyft Receipt Wizard™ under Payments to download a receipt.txt file directly to your desktop. Or, if you prefer, Lyft can also fax an electronic mail receipt directly to your Universal Inbox, or any compatible home fax machine
