The Openlands TreeKeepers have been around for 25 years, and in order to celebrate that, Openlands felt it was time for the group to have an official logos. While getting certified as a TreeKeeper, I came up with these logos, and ultimate one was picked. After the 25th year (2016) that line will disappear. TreeKeepers are certified, trained volunteers who provide “eyes and ears on the ground” year round in neighborhoods all over Chicagoland, to identify potential tree-related problems and lead neighbors in tree planting and tree care. Duties include: planting, pruning, watering, identifying problems with trees, and educating others how to care for their trees.
