Union Perspective

INTRODUCTION
A project in a class of mine was to pick an area at the Union station and study light. Then change the feel of the picture by changing the colour.
MATERIALS:
-hot-press board
-colour pencils
-a ruler
-low-key blue canson paper
-bond paper
-HB pencil
-eraser
CREATIVE PROCESS
I took choose an area and took a picture to remember where it was. I begin to draw the window area in pencil.

PRODUCTION METHODS/WORKFLOW
When I went home, I used perspective to fix and correct my lines.
I got it photo copied onto a small version of a low-key blue canson paper, to see how the colours would react. I thought the window looked flat, and the white alone didn't seem as powerful as I wished it to be.
CONCLUSION
I liked the blue canson and used it for my final piece and added more layers of colour to give the light coming from the window some depth.
VISUAL SUPPORT:
The finished piece is 8"x10" on 10"x15" hot-press board.
