An energy and engineering professional with more than three decades of experience, Ivor R. Ellul oversees operations of CiSK Ventures as the managing director of the Houston, Texas-based company. He also serves as a visiting professor and lecturer for master of science (MSc) programs at Imperial College, London. Ivor Ellul is a graduate of the college himself and completed his own master of science in the Petroleum Engineering Program. 

Imperial College, London’s one-year program delivers a full-time course that provides students with the training necessary to become skilled petroleum engineering professionals. Its curriculum focuses on promoting comprehension of workflow concepts in today’s oil industry and prepares students to work in multidisciplinary teams. Designed for recent graduates and individuals with established industry experience, the program also allows for a conversion from other engineering and science-based foundations to explore petroleum engineering specialties. 

Courses begin in early October and students receive instruction through formal lectures, computer exercises, laboratories, and problem classes. The program is comprised of five teaching modules, each of which consists of petroleum engineering laboratories, industry seminars and communication classes, and a field trip. Additionally, students will engage in a series of group and individual projects in order to interrelate subjects covered in formal lectures. 

Applicants seeking qualification in the United Kingdom (UK) must possess a first-class honors degree in a science or engineering subject or at least three years of industry-relevant experience. The MSc in Petroleum Engineering Program also accepts various international qualifications.
