Wildwood & Sage Branding

Branding Board for the new blog Wildwood & Sage.

Inspiration:
This brand wanted a rustic, bohemian style that was evocative of a country cottage and garden. The colors were chosen because they were all visible in a fully grown sage plant, so color inspiration was literally taken from nature which is entirely in keeping with the intent of this brand.

Texture:
Watercolor texture was also chosen for it's organic and slightly unpredictable feel. Nature is never static, and water colors reflect that with texture and colors that change based on the paper, brushes and amount of water used.

Fonts:
Tanglewoods was the first font chosen. It is feminine and bohemian without being too girly and refined. Cormorant Garamond was chosen to add a traditional element to the typography. It's modern, and clean yet based in tradition.

Imagery:
The imagery inspiration serves as inspiration for images to be used on the blog and social media accounts. Images should be bright and clean, yet feature rustic, natural, and handmade elements. Imagery is intended to be evocative of a small rustic cottage and the lifestyle of one who lives there, close to the land.
