The Walking Dead's Seventh Season Will Not End on a Cliffhanger

Graeme Queen is the senior director of IT solutions delivery at an insurance company in Portland, Oregon. Outside of work, Graeme Queen enjoys keeping up with his favorite TV shows, including The Walking Dead. The show’s sixth season ended earlier this year on a massive cliffhanger, and some fans were not too thrilled with it.

Fans of AMC’s hit zombie-driven drama are no strangers to characters being killed off, but some did not take it too well when the show’s sixth season ended on a cliffhanger with the death of one of the show’s main characters just moments away. Some fans felt it was a cheap move, to which series co-creator Robert Kirkman says he has taken note.

Kirkman explained that while he liked the cliffhanger and the direction season six’s ending took, he understands that many fans felt differently. He also said that the show’s writing room has also taken note and that he would not expect a similar ending to season seven.

The show’s executive producer Greg Nicotero has tried to appease fans by promising that the big question will be answered right away in the first episode of season seven.
