This character design to make it as a personal initiative from a song by Manu Chao,Bongo bong. The idea was to develop the concept of the winged Gorilla, and his brothers.The reference to the wizard of oz and the winged monkeys of a witch went through my mind for a moment.

Development was mixed a part with paper and pencil in a first stage, the following was drawn in Corel Painter and colored with digital watercolor in Painter also.
