JCP Universe presents objects of wonder and discovery from an imagined alternate reality.

As humans finally accept how deeply their actions impact the planet they inhabit, JCP Universe brings attention to the subject by focusing on substance. The archetypal forms of the pieces and the careful selection of their components reflect the eons of cosmic transformation that gave life to everything we perceive.

Our natural environment is where all of our thoughts, actions and lives stem from. Everything we imagine, everything we create is ultimately based on what nature offers us. Consequently, any kind of creation is largely founded on what we perceive around us. But what if this natural world were different from the one, we are used to?
Essential in its nature and function, Selen is a vase composed of a solid block of selenite that is segmented in order to reveal its core.
An inox tube serves as a container of organic elements.
Karst is a monumental bookcase made of oxydized iron and large pieces of volcanic rock that seemingly hold the diverse layers of metal in place. Designed by CTRLZAK + Debonamedeo
‘Agment’ is a series of functional sculptures, where different rocks depict the endless cycle of matter.
The pieces combine a single stone, cut in two parts, with an iron surface that has been bended in such a way that it supports its own weight. Agment’s iron structure is oxidized utilizing a selenium solution.
Inhaling the future, exhaling the past; spoiling the ticking of time by creating the impossible. Stories that make you reflect on their true meaning giving life to creations of worlds unseen. Transforming normality through (im)materiality: JCP’s universe is one of wonder and mystery.

JCP is an eclectic brand that aims to change the design status quo in a revolutionary way. Brainchild of a radical think tank held in Milan in 2015, JCP was conceived by architect Livio Ballabio and is orchestrated by CTRLZAK studio. A fusion between art and design, the brand’s creations blend classic and contemporary style in a surprising new idiom that defies the norms.
