BLOOD DONORS WANTED

'Blood Donors Wanted' is the name of a small zine made in a group collaboration. The project was dictated by two given concepts 'spectacles' and 'black pudding'. The brief; to find the connection between the two. For the final zine, we all individually submitted our work to then piece it all together.

Part One - Black Pudding Prints

I used discs of black pudding and acrylic paint to print onto card, creating thick textured prints of the surface. I simply displayed the outcome as a trio of different elements. After investigating the ingredients of black pudding itself (pigs blood), it was interesting to find the prints looking like actual blood prints.

Part Two - Sausage Fest Typography

I used 48 sausages in total, to individually create the letters of the alphabet. This was to represent how black pudding can be purchased in the form of a sausage.
