With a bachelor’s degree in engineering from Lehigh University and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh, Aubrey Gladstone serves as president of Gladstone Consulting, Inc., a firm focused on litigation support and corporate liquidation. Outside of work, Aubrey Gladstone contributes to worthy causes such as the Journey to Normal project.

Journey to Normal began as a film recounting the experiences of women in the military who had served in Afghanistan and Iraq. Documentary filmmaker JulieHera DeStefano wanted to chronicle women's stories of their time in service as well as their experiences reentering civilian life. However, the film serves as more than a story, and in 2012, the project received nonprofit designation, allowing it to make a continuing impact.

The Journey to Normal project remains relevant and continues to grow. Veterans may add to the collection of stories, and new interviews can be added to the archive as well. The organization maintains an infrastructure that connects women in combat to each other, providing them with an ongoing support system. By giving voice to these women and educating the public about the long term effects of war, the project hopes to improve the training and support services available to this important group.
