To create a dynamic and vibrant series of images using a product that is designed to be good at being stationary!
Pouring Polish:
All nail polish drips are real - The left & right stacks were shot separately and then merged in post.
A hard, directional light source is used to great effect to define the shape and depth of the trails of nail polish whilst also producing semi-soft shadows to soften the outlines.
Tri-polish:
Direction light through a diffuser is used to give shape and depth to the spilt polish whilst creating gradients across the nail polish bottles.
Splashdown:
The bright and vibrant colours are accentuated by employing a graphic head-on point of view and dramatic gradients on the nail polish lids.
The definition of Round:
The use of gradients highlights the 3 dimensional nature of the round lids. The gradients are continued along the brushes and into the pool of polish
