Chicago Market Pop-Ups

Chicago Market is a food co-op that has plans to open in the beginning of 2017. In January of 2016, I joined their team of freelance designers and one project I worked on was the marketing collateral for the Bulk Up!, Spring!, and Summer BBQ Pop-Ups that Chicago Market held at the Swedish American Museum in Andersonville and Belle Shore building in Edgewater. The pop-up markets hosted about 15 vendors that sold a variety of products, like meats, spices, coffee, teas, kimchi, and cookbooks.

I created posters and check presenters to promote the event beforehand. The designs were also used on a sandwich board outside the venue the day of. I also created a poster for each vendor at the pop-up with information on their company and values.

I used mason jars on the designs because the theme of the event was for people to bring their mason jars to "bulk up" on things like beans, spices, etc. Glass jars are an eco-friendly way of packaging and storing goods and they fall in line with Chicago Market's values of sustainability.  For the next two pop-ups, I incorporated the Values Badges into a design that reflected the theme of the pop-up.
