I'm a big fan of the French electro duo Justice, and I figured I'd try my hand at creating what I could see as a future album or single cover for them. All of their artwork features a giant cross in some sort of environment, accompanied by two small figures in order to give a sense of scale. The obvious choice to me was to portray their iconic Cross shape as the giant Monolith from 2001: A Space Odyssey. Took some liberties with the size of the pod as well as making my Crossolith slightly textured rather than perfectly smooth as the actual Monolith was. Just a fun, quick little project.
