Rear Admiral David Baucom served as a White House Military Aide during the Reagan presidency and served the United States Navy for over 30 years as a Supply Corps Officer. He is a lifetime member of the Military Officers Association of America. In October 2016, David Baucom anticipates transitioning from his military career to civilian life.

On November 15th, 2016, the Military Officers Association of America will be offering a day-long seminar to officers who are looking to transition into the civilian sector. For a registration fee, participants can gain access to the association’s career center, which includes a job board and resume bank, and are also offered help with resume development and training.

Some of the topics to be discussed in this seminar include the psychological element of this career transition, the building of a successful network, and the identification of helpful mentors. A panel of former military officers who have found career success in the civilian sector will also be present to answer questions and offer advice.

The Military Officers Association of America is a great resource for military officers and their families; it offers programs and events like this one, and also aims to represent and protect officers' interests in the political sphere.
