The coastal areas of Noord Holland are home to herds of Scottish highland cows. They roam the sandy dunes scarsely covered by forest and grass that are so typical for this region.
These formidable looking animals are told to be very calm but protective of their personal space so taking their pictures without disturbing them was a bit of a challenge.
