This was a project for my Promotional Strategy class that was for a pet salon in the Mankato area. I worked in a group with four other individuals. My main contribution to the project included the creation of visual aids. I used a combination of Publisher and personal sketches to create some logo, sign, coupon and loyalty card ideas for the salon owner. I also took pictures and put together a storyboard using PowerPoint for a possible commercial idea.
Because we were working with an actual client, certain things such as the company name and other elements of branding had to remain the same. Because our client wanted to emphasis the "salon" aspect of her business I created images that reflected a more feminine style. The interior of the salon already had pink striped walls and dog silhouettes, I went with that theme. She also dyed one of her own poodles pink (with organic beat juice dye), created an emphasis on the poodle and pink.
