Service (Re)Design for Tiong Bahru Market

Singapore Tourism Board wants to offer a richer experience for locals and tourists alike. The goal is to redesign both the digital and the physical space of Tiong Bahru Market to make the hawker experience more enjoyable without sacrificing culture.

Our persona is Lina, a Business Tripper. Due to the nature of her work, Lina will be traveling around Southeast Asia but only staying in each city for a couple of days for business conferences/meetings. She wants to try a few locally famous foods in the quickest amount of time due to the short stay she has in town. Her allergies to nuts will effect what foods she can have.

Lina's Journey
This video will explain about our persona Lina’s journey and digital touchpoints when looking for something to eat.
Because of allergies and dietary restrictions, these are some icons to be used on stalls and mobile sites for the user's ease of navigation.
Examples on how the icons will be implemented
There are fun little tips that appear when the user lands on a page with these ratings for the first time.
Instead of using stars as ratings, we redesigned a system that mimicks real life.
