The NOT JUST ANOTHER GUIDE TO COLOGNE came to life first in 2014 through the hands of our team of three local and international designers who met in Cologne. We wanted to share a unique perspective on the life of the city we got to experience and cherish during our childhood and studies alike. The guide is unique not only for the range of information it features but also in its design approach. All illustrations were hand made with physical paper craft models put together in scenarios of Cologne that bring across the special feeling and vibrance of the city.
For the project we collected an enormous number of recommendations and tips from locals, international travelers and students to show Cologne from as many unique perspectives as possible – not like your usual tourist guide. The book provides many special tips rarely mentioned in other guides and compiles a broad selection of information about local culture, food and drinks, art, housing, bureaucracy as well as additional places to explore around Cologne.
