darkening the shadows in the archways and adding detail to the texture of the wall to give it the appearance of the stone flaking.

This is a 12x16 Charcoal Drawing of The Rock of Cashel in Ireland. When visiting this majestic structure, you can almost hear the walls talking to you. This place has an energy of its own. It is very majestic and mystical. My intent with this piece was to not only create a mood, but to somehow give the viewer the same mystic feeling when seeing it.
