An accomplished mortgage professional with over two decades of experience, Gavin Ekstrom serves as a senior area manager for Citywide Home Loans in Greenwood Village, Colorado. In addition to his day-to-day activities at Citywide, Gavin Ekstrom works to advance his professional knowledge and skills through his membership in the Colorado Mortgage Lenders Association (CMLA).

In its efforts to advance the mortgage lending industry in Colorado, CMLA conducts a variety of advocacy, networking, and education programs for mortgage lenders. Each year from January until August, CMLA oversees its Mortgage Leadership Program, which combines learning, networking, and service activities to foster the next generation of industry leaders, such as Gavin Ekstrom.

To be considered for the Mortgage Leadership Program, applicants must have at least two years of mortgage lending experience and be currently employed by a CMLA member company. In addition, applicants must submit a letter of recommendation and commit to obtaining the Certified Mortgage Lender designation.

Those who are accepted into the program attend classes on various topics, take part in networking and other CMLA events, and complete a community service project.
