Line Art vol. 1
A selections of black & white line drawings from a myriad of jobs and projects.
I've always been drawn to the aesthetic of black and white line work. It's stark contrast and minimal nature leave the viewer able to fill in the details. A kind of collaboration takes place, the framework is presented by the artist but the viewer is able to fill in the blanks in their minds eye. I really enjoy that dialogue between the viewer and the creator, especially when there is no background. The context is up to you to create. My love affair with comic books started my obsession with line art. Also the challenge of using minimal tools to create a stand alone piece of work has intrigued me more and more. Below are some line drawings from a number of projects. Many of these, in their final state, became full color pieces. But I enjoy them so much devoid of their final compositions I wanted to share them as is, and to allow you to create the narrative and the fill in the details yourself. Enjoy!
