For more than a decade Gavin Ekstrom has served as a senior area manager for Citywide Home Loans in Greenwood Village, Colorado. Outside of the office, Gavin Ekstrom gives back to his community by supporting his local Boys and Girls Club.
In a recent press release, Boys and Girls Clubs of America (BGCA) announced that a Ross Dress for Less in-store fundraiser raised approximately $2.7 million to support BGCA’s Power Hour program, which provides after-school homework help for kids and teens 6 to 18 years of age. During the month of February, nearly 1,300 Ross stores took part in the three-week fundraiser by asking customers to make a donation to their Help Local Kids Learn Campaign.
The fundraiser total included over $2 million collected from in-store donations along with a $350,000 matching grant by the Ross Stores Foundation. Ross has been partnering with Boys and Girls Clubs of America for over a decade to support the organization’s Power Hour program.
