Seed Animation was commissioned to produce 4 short promos for the channel Adult Swim. The brief was open; 10-15 second films that encapsulate the fast-paced humour and surreal character of the channel. A different director was assigned to each film to explore contrasting approaches to design and story. This was my contribution. 

 

It's based on an image that popped into my head and made me LOL in the middle of a busy train carriage one day as I was travelling home. I suddenly pictured two men playing tennis and gleefully shouting "Tennis" at each other every time they hit the ball. When I was brainstorming for this project, the image came back to me and I decided it was definately weird enough to work.

 

This was a fantastically enjoyable project to work on. The completely open brief and the weird and wonderful identity of the channel encouraged lots of experimentation along the way and the client feedback was the best as it only ever consisted of "Great... carry on..."
