Practicing some typography using mixed media of pens, watercolour and charcoal. Lyrics from 'Shattered and Hollow' by First Aid Kit.

 

I chose watercolours for the word 'moving' because as a wet media I feel it helps to represent the idea that life keeps on flowing, so lets float along with it! Then i threw some birds and plants in there for good measure.

 

For the word 'static' I went for an army-style stencil type because, to me, it feels very rigid like soldiers in a line. I also associate static with broken televisions, so i tried to capture the black and white blur effect with smudged charcoal.
