From 2014 through 2019 I helped provide art direction, photography, copywriting, merch design, web design and print design for a small and well received cycling culture magazine called Embrocation. During my teens, 20s and 30s I ate, breathed and slept cycling, so this was a really great passion project to contribute to.

When I approached the owner/publisher, the magazine and brand had become dormant for a few years, and we worked together to breath life back into it's community. In many ways it felt like restoring an old race car, but with graphic design instead of fuel injectors and wrenches, the sky (and some budget) was the limit. I enjoyed pushing the envelope with art direction with the print magazine and refining the overall energy of the Embrocation brand.
